Vintage Wooden Bomb Sculpture / Wall Hanging, ca. WWII Military Art

This is quite an unusual offering, perhaps even one of a kind!  It is, quite literally
THE BOMB!!!
This 3 dimensional old fashioned rendition of a wooden bomb, all in excellent vintage condition, is attached to its matching wooden pedestal, and would look splendid displayed sitting on a desk or bookshelf.  No room on your desk?  It also shows handsomely, hung vertically on the wall, and has an eye hook on the base for this purpose.  Please see photos for how it would look both ways.  It is quite substantial in size, over a foot long, measuring about 16 inches long and 7 inches high.  The circumference of the bomb alone is almost 12 inches.  The base shows a partial stamp, perhaps from Van Antwerp School, Schenectady, N.Y., leading us to believe that it may have been created out of a piece of discarded wooden furniture from the local school.  It does not appear to be a commercially produced piece, is probably an example of folk art, and as is often the case, was created out of recycled materials available at the time, probably around World War II.  Alas, its history will probably remain a mystery, but we do believe it will have a future with someone who will find it extremely intriguing!  It would be a great addition to any collection of weapons, WW II militaria, or folk art.  Or, it might be the perfect gift for that certain someone!  You know the one!!  It might even be you!!
