Up for low start no reserve auction is super nice M1 Garand Rifle Manufactured Buttplate.  Condition is excellent with sharp deep impressions leaving border, and is 100% serviceable with original grey-green finish.  Finish and sharpness of impressions on buttplates are hard to find and they wear quickly in use. Observed mostly on Post WWII SA and limited amount other manufacturers and rebuilds. Square plunger heads were used after WWII along with the more commonly observed round plunger heads.
