    Description

    Rare 1943 Thanksgiving Dinner menu for the sailors aboard the U.S.S. Monticello (AR-61) a Navy transport ship seeing duty during WW2. The Monticello was built in Italy as a cruise ship, commandeered by the US when it made passage to Brazil, reoutfitted as a troop transport ship seeing action several times. After the war, it was sold back to Italy in 1947. This menu is complete, blue endpapers (not shown). Some discoloration visible on the back cover, otherwise very presentable. Examine my pictures closely. Shipping is .75 First Class Mail (includes delivery confirmation).
