    The appeal of FMUX04 is not only its small size, neither its availability of

    E1 and T1 interfaces on the same equipment, nor the various optical versions that can be chosen, but the ability to be remotely managed through SNMP protocol, while all the T1/E1 muxing performance is kept at a very low price.
    The unit is a PDH fiber multiplexer with 4 selectable E1/T1 interfaces and one optional orderwire port for telephone communication
    and service.

    s only 1U height and occupies half of an 19" chassis width. The strength of FMUX04 is the ability to support installation of an optional SNMP management module, thus offering to customers the ability to build manageable E1/T1 networks at a fraction of the cost.
    FMUX04 is perfectly suitable for either fixed or mobile telephone operators seeking to migrate to fiber and extend their network coverage. Its small capacity makes it a perfect choice for rural areas, as well as low density residential. System integrators or small service providers can also rely on FMUX04 to establish T1 private circuits over fiber optics.
    The
    FMUX04
    has only one fixed fiber optic port, but choices for it are large: from multimode optical connections operating on 2Km fiber distance up to 120Km for singlemode or 60Km on WDM single strand fiber connections. FMUX04 accommodates easily in either telco site or datacenter, being available on demand with DC power supply instead of usual AC power unit.
    The most valuable feature of the FMUX04 is the centralized management through SNMP.
    FMUX04-SNMP
    is an optional module, that allows management based on the SNMP protocol. An MIB file is provided for integration in most Network Management Systems (NMS) available on market. Ther is also a free GUI for Windows application that allows independent management of a limited number of FMUX04 units (up to 20) for one data center.
