    Description

    P-38J GE tachometer, genuine warbird surplus. This came from a dear friend of mine, Col S.P. Richardson,  from a P-38 J that he flew in WWII, tail number #42-670311 (last digit indistinct) I have no way of testing it, but all safety wire is intact and needle is free and well damped. Yes, P-38s often had dual-needle tachs, but there are pictures of J models with twin single-needle tachs...besides, I believe dear departed Stan, and he told me this was from one of his airplanes...
