    Description
    This is an ORIGINAL "Jump Wings" oval or "background trimmings" worn by paratroopers of the famed 505th Parachute Infantry Regiment, an element of the 82nd Airborne Division during WWII. The oval (1-7/8" x 1") is made of blue wool felt with an embroidered red border with a gauze backing and is VERY GOOD+ condition. I wore this oval on my class A Ike jacket while re-enacting F Company with the California Historical Group and it has two "pinprick" holes, where the jump wings pin passed through. Here's an opportunity for the airborne collector or re-enactor to obtain an oval for this famed unit at a modest cost. The buyer will have my usual unconditional guarantee of authenticity and a five-day (not the 1-days that they insert in my listings without my consent) right of inspection and return/refund privilege, excluding postage.
