M1 Garand Bolt Gas Trap no hole demilled Original Marked 1930s.
This is an original no hole M1 rife bolt.
It is for one of the first M1’s made in the 1930’s, and used on the Gas Trap Models of the M1 rifle.
Marked D 28287
The dash one (-1) is hand stamped
Heat lot code D 5
Unfortunately, some one working for Uncle Sam recklessly welded a very historical, and  collectable bolt.
Condition: Thin blob of weld over the firing pin hole. Bolt coated on the top with clear varnish, probably as a parade rifle. See the photos.
I see no other defects with this bolt.
That being said, I am selling this as a dummy bolt, as a firing pin would not work thru the weld.
Starting price reflects condition which is poor, unusable, de-milled.
