FOR SALE:. 1973 MERCURY COUGAR CONVERTIBLE. I've owned this car for 10 years, rarely drive it, considering moving. Convertible top operates correctly, was replaced approx 10-11 years ago. Interior is white vinyl, no tears or rips in seats but door panels have cracks & wear. Passenger side electric windows both operate, driver's side do not (front had roller guides replaced several years ago and worked fine, motor does work). Inside driver's door handle is also broken. Driver's door has small area of paint bubbling (see photo), some previous rust repairs have been done. Engine runs fine, is hard to start if sits for a week so I spray starting fluid into carburetor; carb was rebuilt approx. 8-9 yrs. ago. Front end rattles a bit on the road, may need new shocks; power steering has mild belt squeal (not constant or loud). Brakes work fine, new copper brake lines were done approx. 8-9 yrs. ago. Has had tune-up, oil changes as-needed. Tires are good, have approx. 1,000 miles of use; wire wheel covers are not original and have minor surface rust. Garage-kept. Will be sold with original rear glass window & service/repair manuals. Has clean Florida Title, full payment in CASH ONLY.
