1971 Mercury Cougar

Description

We acquired this vehicle from a local customer who drove this only during spring/summer weekends. He has owned it since 2004. Been garage kept since his ownership.
This is a very rare cougar!!! This is 1 of 31 with that paint/trim codes.

Exterior:
Exterior is in good shape but does appear to have been repainted at some point. Has a little bubbling on the bottom of both doors and some small cracking on the rear wheel well. The top is in great shape!!!!

Interior
: very clean with the exception of the passenger seat has a tear where the seams are. The driver's door inside the door handle has come loose. It works but needs to be screwed in.
Mechanically:
Runs and Drives very good but does have a little noise in the passenger side front end when hitting a hard bump. Engine sounds good and runs very well. Tires/ rims are in great shape! Odometer is showing 28606 assuming it has 128,606
351 2V V8 with auto transmission
Undercarriage
: Seems to be clean for the most part with a little surface rust but nothing major that is noticeable.
Overall:
This is a great looker and a very good driver!!!! It’s not a show car by any means but is definitely a daily driver!! Would make a perfect weekend car!!!
