Hello. Up for sale is a 16mm b&w film with optical sound titled
The Invisible Receptionist
presented by the Bell Telephone Company. This is a
Wilding Pictures Production
. The edge code (plus, square) dates this film to around 1955. There is just under 800 feet of film on an 800-foot reel. The film is in excellent condition with near mint images. It begins with a fade-in and ends with a bit of the Tail (see photo). No vinegar odor.
This is a terrific film depicting the much-needed-at-the-time telephone operator and the “advanced” equipment in use.
Don’t let this one pass you by. Lots of unsolicited kitsch in this promotional film.
